In order to operate the T4, Orion and Conan manipulators, it is necessary to utilise a Schilling Master Controller.
ShareThe Schilling master controller is preloaded with software for all standard manipulators (no EPROM required) and the software is selected by Rotary Switch. It operates on either RS-232 or RS-485 communications as a standard.
The master controller is available for TITAN 4, ORION 7P and CONAN 7P manipulators and there is also a dual-arm version available. Input is standard 90-260 VAC and the standard power consumption is 6 W start, 3 W run.
The master controller is available from J2 Subsea on a sale or rental basis. The controller can be supplied as a stand-alone item to operate a customer's own manipulator or with a J2 manipulator as part of a complete package.
